Karma question

When we see the "karma" button, does this mean we can click it and say something nice about the post?


I hope I haven't being doing it wrong.

Yes, karma is the button for reputation points. If you add to someone's reputation they get higher Rep power. Higher reputation points will get you into the Elite Club. Good reputation should be given on good threads and posts to encourage people on writing and sharing better posts.

I never knew about this whole karma thing. Anyway i've just tried it and got "sorry you can't give karma points to this post".
Why's that?

How do we know what points we have 3ammo?

I notice it also, that there are some posts that I can not give points.

Does it depend on the post or the postee or the theme or content ?


Will it show who gave the points?


am I asking too many questions?

Will I get points here on the negative side or funny ones?

And what's the dig it thing as opposed to the karma button? I don't want to try it incase it's a "dig a grave for this post it sucks so bad" type thing. Digging something is good though right?

On Karma you might need to give Karma to other people before giving the same person more points.

Digg is a whole other thing. A topic with many Diggs could make it's way to the front page of digg.com. It is in the sense of "I digg it", and not "dig a grave for this post it sucks so bad".
