It is all about privacy del, some do not like privacy to be exposed, thats why hi5 changed its privacy settings the other day announcing that "From Facebooks privacy settings, hi5 is changing it accordingly "

well. if you don't want people to know something about you, then you don't have to put it in your online profile.

That's true, but thats not what usually gets personal believe it or not. Its who you are friends with, who you hang out with, who tagged you in their photos, what events you went to .. etc. Fadaye7 :D

I never even attempted to join though I have so many invitations!! don't know why! anyhow i'm a hagasny girl ever since hagasny was created I was member # 11 lol gee loooong time so the only community I know is hagasny :D :notworthy:

Facbook started with private networks of people who see each other face to face, not online communities. It started with the college you go to. You can only see those who go to your school and you must use an e-mail from that school to register and join that network. Then it expanded to include those in your city and so on. Next they added Work Networks.

However, now anyone can join. And even if they can't see your full profile. They can browse who is on your friends list and so on.

To have your profile with your photos online and seen ONLY by your close friends does not mean that I don't want to share personal details online.

ya3ni I have hi5 and it sucks cuz anyone can see anything of yours so I just left that rubbish thingie, but for the facebook, if the "friends request" came from someone who I don't know, then I reject it and that is all.

I don't have facebook, figure there is anything close friends need to know about me I'd have told them personally, no need to post it online... used to have Hi5 till I started getting all k inds of weird messages from weird people so deleted it. :goofy:

Really interesting stories I'm hearing about facebook and hi5. I had a hi5 account, but logged in there once every blue moon :S.

Facebook is cool.. got connected with my friends from university whom I haven't heard from in 3-4 years. My facebook account is 3 months old and so far, it brought me 2 job interviews and a salary increase.. so I'm happy about it :happy1:

I have facebook but my account is private, no1 can find me b/c i choose not to be on the search lists. I have found cousins, old friends all on facebook and i can limit the information that they see. thats why i like it better than myspace and hi5:tongue:
