Google just released their open source browser for public testing. Google made a nice comic book (http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/) about it before it’s release. You can download the browser directly from their website http://www.google.com/chrome :thumb:

In a rather surprising move, Google has announced that it will dive into the browser wars with its own web browser, dubbed Chrome.

Google Chrome will be free, open source and, at least for the time being, limited to Windows users. A beta version for Windows should be available for testing early Tuesday afternoon. Google says that it’s already hard at work on Mac and Linux versions, but hasn’t offered a timeline for either.

Chrome is a browser built to empower web applications. It features a new approach to page rendering that isolates web applications inside each of the browser’s tabs — a crashing web app might cause a single tab to crash, but that won’t affect anything outside that tab. The rest of the browser remains stable.

Webmonkey is a good resource too. Thanks 7elween.

I'm loving the browser so far. Just waiting for more plug-ins and customizations.

:biggrin1: ..thanx to topic mover & 3ammo :biggrin1:

looks kind of nice but it don't work on video streaming sites like bbc.co.uk .. using flash player, had to re-install, bit of a nuisance :biggrin1: .. was a bit funny .. i like the concept that if it crash, only the tab crashes not the windows :biggrin1:

I love the "incognito surfing" part:

You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.

Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:

Websites that collect or share information about you

Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit

Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys

Surveillance by secret agents

People standing behind you

I can't wait for the final RTM version.
